I am an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at California State University, Chico. In May 2015, I earned my Ph.D. in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of Kentucky, under the supervision of Dr. Richard Chanigo and Dr. Bin Huang. Before joining Chico State, I once served as a statistician in the Center for Health Services Research at the University of Kentucky. I have taught several courses in the past, including statistical methods and research methods in nutritional science. My research areas have focused on nonparametric regression, ensemble machine learning, and relative survival analysis. I am also interested in statistics in information security.
